As Vice President of Operations, Dan’s responsibilities at Midwest include the oversight of day-to-day company operations and compliance, to include, office systems & programs, utilized technology solutions, company standards & policy applications, sales, contracts & acquisitions, training programs, client relations, service excellence, and more. Dan joined the Midwest team in 2020 and has played an integral part in improving operational practices and gross revenue generation.
Prior to joining Midwest, Dan worked for a large multi-national security company where he oversaw security, firefighting, and EMS services for a global steel producer based in the United States. Dan brings with him nearly 20 years of experience in the national and international security and law enforcement industries to Midwest.
Dan studied Criminal Justice & Emergency Management at Trine University and Terrorism & Counterterrorism at Leiden University and is a member of ASIS. Dan is also a Board-Certified Homeland Protection Professional (CHPP) through the National Sheriff’s Association. His other certifications and experiences include training in Wicklander-Zulawski Interview & Interrogation Techniques; certified Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) Instructor through ALERRT and TEEX; certified Verbal Defense & Influence Instructor; TJA certified Use of Force Instructor; NRA Law Enforcement Handgun & Shotgun Instructor; trained in executive protection and personal security detail (PSD) operations, and many more.
